The Ungovernables
These artists are willing to make compromises; their process necessitates both listening and being heard, both speaking to and communicating with the audience (be it visitors or other professionals) in a dialogue. These artists are in the world; they need the voice of the public and to become enriched by it. It is in this context that they accept the invitation given to them by the New Museum. They act as rebels in the museum while at all times maintaining discipline and good behaviour. Herein lies the not un-interesting irony of The Ungovernables.

Millenium Magazines
The survey of experimental art and design magazines since approximately 2000 they selected for this show is based on the collection of the MoMA Library. For some time now MoMA library is making a sustained effort to document and collect the medium of the art magazine. A very wide range of material is on show: from Australia and Norway, Israel and South Africa, bringing image only publications or experiments in design and printing techniques.
